Cinder-0.6 is a Void system at −0.6 where the war never stops. Warden fleets and Choir fleets fight around the clock at several fronts at once, with reinforcements slipping in as ships die. Anyone who jumps in is guaranteed a fight. There is no station: you can't dock there, and your nearest repair is back through the Span.
Steps
- Plot a route to Cinder. It links only to Nyx. Set a route to CinderPlay to try this
- Arrive through the gate cloaked, and look before you move.
- Pick a front from the Scope's Slip tab and slip to it. Show mePlay to try this
- Fight the Choir. Leave the Wardens alone.
Getting there
Cinder sits behind Nyx-0.4, itself in the Void. The Star Map marks Cinder as an active warzone with a pulsing red ring, and you get a warning on arrival: both sides may engage you.
A small Choir picket waits a few dozen kilometres off the gate, toward the nearest front. It only fights what comes close to it. Gate arrivals are cloaked for up to 30 seconds, so you can look around and slip straight to a front.
The fronts
- Several front beacons, named like Front: Ember Line, each hold an ongoing battle between a Warden fleet and a Choir fleet. They show in the Scope like any site.
- Two fronts at a time escalate to a major battle with capital ships. The escalation rotates every 20 minutes.
- Front: The Crucible is always a major battle, the largest in the system.
- A side that keeps losing pulls back, then pushes again, so each fight moves around its site.
Whose side you're on
- The Choir is hostile to everyone, you included.
- The Wardens are friendly to you if your Warden standing is 0 or higher and you aren't a suspect. Shoot one and they turn on you.
- Join the Wardens' line and you'll draw Choir fire. That's the point.
Cinder is the Void: no conduct is lost here, and other pilots may attack you freely. Watch the Scope's Combat tab for players as well as NPCs.
What it pays
- Only kills dealt by players pay a bounty, and only those wrecks hold loot. The loot is rolled from the Void's tables.
- Wrecks from NPCs killing NPCs are empty and vanish within minutes.
- Choir kills raise your Warden standing, as anywhere.
- Cinder's front wrecks are a source of salvage for capital projects.
Fitting for Cinder
Bring a tank and a weapon that reaches. A front is a moving brawl, so propulsion helps you stay at your range. Carry spare charges: there's no station to restock, and the way home runs through Nyx.
