World events

Choir incursions, relief convoys, smuggling surges and Span rifts. Shared fights for the whole Reach, with citations and rewards for all who help.

Some fights are bigger than one pilot. A world event is a shared goal for the whole Reach: the Choir takes a constellation for a weekend, a Charter relief convoy needs an escort, the Cartel pushes a shipment through the Frontier, or a Span rift tears open. Every pilot who helps moves the same progress bar, and everyone who took part is paid when it ends.

Steps

  1. Watch for Commander Varga's transmission. When an event begins, she tells everyone in the region where to go.
  2. Open the Star Map and turn on the World events layer to see where it is. Open the Star MapPlay to try this
  3. Set a route to the event. The tracker's button does it for you, or slips you to the site once you're in the system.
  4. Fight. Damage, kills and time on scene all earn points toward your citation.
  5. When it ends, your citation and rewards appear on screen. Items wait in your station hangar.

The four kinds

EventWhat happensHow long
Choir incursionThe Choir takes a whole constellation. Every system in it gets a Choir Vigil that sends wave after wave. Break enough of them and a cathedral-ship arrives.A weekend: Friday evening to Sunday night
Relief convoyA Charter freighter and two Warden escorts carry supplies across 4 to 6 systems. Raiders ambush it in every system after the first.About 90 minutes
Smuggling surgeEight Cartel runners cross a Frontier constellation, one every 12 minutes. Stop at least four.About 2 hours
Span riftA tear opens in a Frontier or Void system, guarded by waking machines. Clear three waves and a Span Cache opens.3 hours

Shared progress and stages

The tracker's bar is everyone's progress, not just yours. In an incursion it shows the Choir's influence: every Choir ship destroyed at any Vigil of the incursion pushes it down, and it never comes back.

An incursion has three stages before its finale:

  1. Vanguard: frigates and cruisers.
  2. The Host: cruisers and battleships.
  3. Hymn of Ending: battleships and a carrier.

Waves only come when pilots are near a Vigil, and they grow with the number of pilots on scene.

Careful
While an incursion runs, the order rating of its systems drops by 0.2, so Warden response is slower there. A system never drops out of its band: Core space stays Core.

The cathedral-ship

When the Choir's influence reaches zero, a cathedral-ship arrives in the incursion's staging system. It can't be harmed while its Relic Shield Nodes stand. Its parts are separate targets around it:

PartWhile it standsDestroyed
Relic Shield Node (two)The cathedral is invulnerableBoth down: the cathedral can be hurt
Lance BatteryHeavy beams on pilots near the cathedralThe heavy fire stops
Hangar SpineLaunches Choir frigates every minuteNo more launches
Slip EnginesA clock runs. At zero the cathedral slips away and the incursion is lostThe clock stops: it's stranded

Bring the shield nodes down first, take the engines before the clock runs out, then finish the cathedral.

Citations and rewards

You earn points for damage dealt to the event's ships, for killing blows and for each minute you spend at the scene. Points earn a Warden citation:

CitationIncursionSmaller events

Commended60 points40 points
Decorated200 points120 points

A won incursion pays up to 1,500,000 LUM and 1,000 Warden loyalty points, plus Choir relics and a named module for the Decorated. The smaller events pay up to 400,000 LUM. A lost event still pays 40 % of the LUM and LP. Span rifts pay Charter Archive LP instead of Warden LP.

Where to see them

  • The tracker on your HUD shows every live event: the shared progress, the stage, your points and the next citation, and one button to get there. Drag it anywhere; fold it to a single line.
  • The Star Map's World events layer marks every system in an event, with the name and progress under the main system.
  • The companion app and the website list live and upcoming events, so you know what's coming before you log in.
